Muriwai Beach clean up -Date confirmed

IHi All - I (Neil) have managed to become Trip Leader for this one...

Time for all you people who put their hands up to volunteer for the beach clean-up to sign-in. We need a few trailers where possible and plenty of  passengers ready to roll up their sleeves.. Each of the NZ4WDA clubs will get assigned to a length of the beach to remove the  flotsam and jetsam.  If we are lucky there might be a half buried Hilux or two to drag back to the big skips at the south end of the beach. We had a huge turnout last year and everyone had good fun.

Meeting point is the Fire & Ice Cafe at 8:30am Sunday 3rd October. It's in the new Waimauku shopping area behind the Caltex [that used to be the BP].

Early birds can have breakfast/coffee beforehand and watch the trucks manoeuvering their trailer in the car park!

We then depart in convoy for Muriwai at 9:30.

ARC will brief us at 10am at the tennis courts on Coast Rd Muriwai (adj Fire Station).

The aim is to be back of the beach at 1.00pm for a sausage sizzle.

I'll need to know how many people in your truck to tell the ARC caterers.
