FAB's heritage - partly revealed

Thanks to Leon Zwetsloot (well known to all of us LR nutters) in Wellington, part of FAB's history is now revealed.

Here he is in all his red glory as a Fire Tender in Haast.

Shod in SATs?

And now I know what was mounted on the front left roof  - the base-fitting is still there - for the searchlight. And that damn great hole in the middle was for the big red flasher!

No signs of any PTO pump gear left when I got him though.

Year is not yet known - but we're working on it.
