Sew you thought you were keen?

Brett Whyte has it bad... real bad...

Herewith evidence of my latest Special Land Rover Tool purchase. Never used one before so decided to get a really fast one with a clutch not an accelerator, so it only goes flatout or stops. It has a drum brake and is happy joining 4 layers of car seat leather.  It also happily stitches your fingers to your fabric, so I'm told by hapless upholsterers. But on the bright side they say you only do it once.

It's older than the S3, I figure that's an important prerequisite. It's British built to an ancient design, only good in a straight line and one quarter horsepower, so remarkably similar to many a Series Landy.

First stop new squabs for my fold up rear seats and maybe a wading bib.
Tilt comes later when I can sew a longer straight line without my fingers in it. I think the paint wear mark on the top is where countless seamstresses have frustratedly pounded their foreheads while doing battle with the thing. Uses Epo90 I'm guessing and coming from the mother country is probably designed to drip it out slowly. Maybe I should first Jenolite it and give it a quick Hammerite re-spray?

Sometimes TradeMe is a cruel mistress.
