Campsite gate entrance is on right just past Whangarei/Kaipara boundary sign and will be marked LROCA.

So, best bring everything with you.
Getting to Twin Bridges
From Whangarei, SH14 to Maungatepere (12 ks)
Turn right to Paroti,Titoki, Parakao, Pakotai and Twin Bridges. The road to here is all sealed and very good.
On approach to the double bridge turn left onto the metal road signed Donovans Crossing.
This is the start of Waimatenui Road.
In 10 ks you will see a small Whangarei/Kaipara boundary sign on your right.
The farm campsite entrance is just a few metres further on.
This is a very large dry stock farm with rivers, bush, grass paddocks, muddy stream crossings, steep ascents and descents.
Some areas climb up to 333mtrs giving spectacular views as good as anything in the South Island.
The landowner is John Schepens, a keen and skilled off-roader, farmer and hunter. He has some old Landies, but drives a Jeep for work and play.
Cost per Landie:
There is no charge from the landowner, so we will ask for a donation of $40 to go towards a book token or drinks for him, with the balance going to a charity of his/our choice.
As usual, weather dependant, but recommend G2 with AT's minimum.
Some areas are a bit tricky, but allow for by-pass in most cases. We will initiate a 'buddy' system for our less skilled members.
